Coterotie Posted May 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Hi, we are thinking about booking a Princess Southeast Asia cruise from Singapore on the Diamond Princess in early 2017. We have cruised with Princess several times, but only in the Caribbean, and we like the parties, discos etc. in the evening, rather than going to the theatre. We're all around 60 so aren't expecting a rave, but can anyone advise whether the entertainment is likely to be similar on the Asian itineraries ? Also, we're expecting that the clientele is likely to be a mix of Asians, Aussies, Americans and Europeans - is that about right ? Thanks for any info ! bcnvcanada Posted May 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2015 I have cruised on the Diamond several times, when it was from Tokyo, and found the entertainment to be okay. Since it was mostly Japanese group, the cruise director, spoke Japanese, and then English. Music for our cruise was mostly classical so language wasn't an issue. Others were acts of jugglers, and things like that. Sing a longs in English were popular as well as some in Japanese. Your cruise should be a mix of Aussie, English speakers and some Asians from several countries. We love these cruises and hope that you have wonderful time. Try the Lido has it had several Asian specialties. We loved the fresh made noodles and noodle bowls. Try the green tea soft serve it is wonderful. Coterotie Posted May 15, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks ! I think the Diamond Princess itinerary for 2017 is going to be similar to that of the Sapphire Princess for 2014/15 - i.e. mainly round trips from Singapore - does anyone have any feedback on how the nightlife has been on those ?
