iConcierge On The Jewel

Recommended Posts

Is iConcierge available on the Jewel?

One time charge of $7.95 per device?

How do I know we are on not being charged for the ship Wi-Fi?

Do I put my phone on airplane mode and turn on Wi-Fi to avoid roaming changes from my cell provider?

Is the app worth it (ability to call/text)

note: We did use the wave phones with DCL

We used it on the Pearl recently. However, we just used the free part, not the pay part for texting on board. The free part was great. We could access many things like our statement and charges, entertainment, restaurant reservations. We keep our phone in the "data off" mode. We had wifi on and just used the iConcierge app. You would have to specifically sign up for full internet service and the associated charges to get billed for that. Don't know if the Jewel has it or not.

Used it on the Pearl last year...just a few texts and phone calls to "try it out". Yes, the charge is one time per device.

Your ARE using the ship's WiFi to use this app (either the basic free or 7.95 full version BUT you are not charged extra. Perhaps your are confusing WiFi with internet access which is not free but is accessible via WiFi. We did both.
