Actual times in Alaskan ports

My mother and I are going on our first cruise ever next month to Alaska. We are booking our own excursions off the sip, but need to know, if the schedule shows that we are in a city from 7am to 3pm, when would we need to get back on the ship? Trying to maximize our time as we visit the different cities.

You need to be walking up the gangway to reboard 30 min. prior to ship departure. EM

I'm in Ketchikan today. All board 3:30 and the ship departs at 4:00.
