I am looking for a reasonably priced hotel by the cruise terminal for just one night after the 4 night cruise.

Do you need parking. Most downtown hotels can be had for $120-150 a night if you don't need to park. Parking can cost anywhere from $30-40 though ime. Obviously what you consider close plays important too. The further out the cheaper the hotels.

New Orleans is a city that you can get a good "mystery hotel' on various booking sites. Of course, not when major event is in town. That's one city that has always come through because of so many higher ranked hotels.

Hilton Riverside is across the street from Harrah's and tends to be a little more reasonable.

We stayed at the Omni Royal Crescent in March, it's on Gravier St. Loved it! Close to the Quarter & Riverwalk.
