thinfool Posted May 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2015 No gratuities expected for children under 2. See new FAQ at Carnival.com.
MCFTJCH2V Posted May 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) Has always been that way since they started auto tips. But you can always tip if you desire, based on how the staff treat the kids. And most important, tipping is completely in your control, for all people at all ages. Edited May 29, 2015 by MCFTJCH2V
Rare Tapi Posted May 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Yup. Always been like that on Carnival. Which we've always consider unfair for the staff once you see how hard they work for the little ones. We just tipped in cash for or our son when he was under
springs741 Posted May 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 When we cruise with a little one we always tip way more. Room steward has to deal with messy diapers (yes we double bag them in bio waste bags) and in the MDR it looks like a food fight no matter how much we try to contain the mess. cruizinisthebest Posted May 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Yes it's always been this way even though someone in a thread a couple of weeks ago insisted everyone regardless of age is automatically assessed the suggested gratuity. I've never sailed with children that young, but if I did I would certainly tip and tip well. Especially the room steward.
