sparty1 Posted February 4, 2016 #26 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Speaking from previous experience on other cruises, I would tip the room service deliverer. That's considered an 'extra" or special request by most standards if it is someone other than your butler or cabin steward. I have had people refuse to take it(but I insisted it made me feel better:-), and we have had our cabin steward deliver who I paid extra only at end of cruise(in addition to the gratuities that were inclusive) Depending on how much they bring(ie: coffee or snacks, maybe $2; meals, $3-5) If Azamara has a different policy, I'm sure someone will adjust my comments to reflect it. Have not yet ordered room service. Is it true that we should tip the person who brings the food to the cabin? If so, what is the appropriate amount? Gratuities were included in our fare. In reviewing the Specialty menus, I noticed there is a designation of GF, V, VE(Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian) next to the food item. I assume all menus would be set up the same? Are there separate menus for gluten free food? Do we just ask the butler for help? Hope this bit of info helps. I would be interested to see what other cruisers' input there is? JVilleGal Posted February 4, 2016 #27 Share Posted February 4, 2016 We always tip $2 and sometimes more depending on how much they bring us. We either use a stash of bills, US or Euro or put the tip on the check IF one needs to be signed.
