Steve007NY Posted May 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Never curised out of Vancouver. Wanting to overnight somewhere near the point of embarkation if we can. Which of the two ports does Celebrity use? Specifically for the 7/3 Millenium departure. Thanks
shuang6 Posted May 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2015 7/3 Millennium will depart from Canada Place. I will be on the same cruise. I booked our hotel stay using Priceline and got a pretty good rate on Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront, which is a few blocks from Canada Place. Rare martincath Posted May 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Very useful site from K50 above, but the main thing to remember about Vancouver is that the pier is right in the heart of downtown - it's impossible to be in a downtown hotel and be more than a mile from the pier as the crow flies. So if you have a preferred chain for point accrual, or just want the cheapest deal so bid blind, book anywhere you like, you will ALWAYS be conveniently close to the pier. With that said, if it's in your budget you can't get closer than the Pan Pacific which is literally in the same building. Take the elevators straight down into the terminal - with a cruise package here, or at the Fairmont Waterfront across the road, bellhops will take your suitcases from your room and deliver them to the longshoremen for you so you won't even see your bags again until they arrive in your cabin. jayoldschool Posted May 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2015 A block away will get you the Pacific Rim... and you won't be disappointed ;)
Wickets Posted May 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 30, 2015 We stayed at the Pan Pacific and got good rate from one of the search sites. On the same pier as boarding and Bell hop will delivery your bags right to the ship. Good quite rooms unlike the Edgewater in Seattle. You can walk down to food court for breakfast at Tim Horton or others. They are in same rewards program as Omni, and will get you free wifi and water. We've stayed at the Pan Pacific, and thoroughly enjoyed this property. The convenience of having the bellmen pick up your luggage from your hotel room and then take to the porters is wonderful -- while that service may not sound that great -- it really is.
