How many seats at a table on the Mariner?

Hi - We have a group of 20 going on the Mariner. We have always sat at tables for 8 in the dining room but I heard that there are tables that can seat 12. Does anyone know for sure if this is true?

We had a table for 11 on the Mariner - I think the tables were 4, 8 or 12.

Most of the largest tables are for 10. There is only one (maybe a second on another level) table for 12 and that is usually the captain's. The exceptions to this rule are with Family groups. We had a group and requested a table for 12, the Rhapsody accomodated (where's my spellcheck?) us by adding table for 2 to a table for 10.;)

 

Your best bet with 20 will probably be to get the Maitre D to set 2 tables for 10 close by. Good luck (may want to slip a $20 on first day:cool: )

We were on the lowest deck of the dinning room, Rhapsody in Blue, near the captains table and our table the first year had 12 people and this year we had eleven. There was plenty of elbow room.

Thanks for your answers. I will ask our TA to make the request and hope that we get 2 tables next to each other or relatively close together. Thought maybe we would have the 12 adults together and the teens at their own table. This is the only time that we ask the kids to "hang out" with us is during dinner. Believe it or not they are pretty good about it too!
