Dawn Princess cabin above the casino noise?

Recommended Posts

We are in a Caribe deck cabin on Dawn Princess which appears to be located above the casino.

Anyone stayed in this area could you let me know if noise from the casino, if any, can be heard in the cabin. We are not great casino people so don't even know how popular it is or how late people stay around.

Only guarantee cabins available when we booked so not given the option to pick our own spot. Like the idea of this deck as it appears to be middle/middle location.

We stayed in a cabin directly over the Vista Lounge one trip and only heard the big drums a little. It certainly wasn't loud and the lower notes didn't make it through the plating/floor/roof at all.

No Princess experience, but based on our cruises, and posts on cc, casinos are very popular, and on most ships the casino bar would be the last to close each evening/morning:)

I've travelled on the Dawn 3 times, twice on the same floor as the Casino. Now I know it's not the same thing but once you walk out of that area you can't hear it. It also is not overly busy, well in my eyes at least, there were a few times where you battled to get a seat but they were rare and I doubt you will hear any noise from it.

We also had a cabin partially over the Vista lounge and only once did I think I heard anything, now I did say think, I heard a noise which didn't last long.

I think if you were on one of the "party" ships things might be different but I think you'll be right.

Thanks for the responses. Been a few years since was last on Dawn P and as said not big gamblers so didn't know how busy it gets in there in the eve.

On our last trip on there, which was a 28nights voyage with older demographic, ship was very quiet late at night.

So thanks for the reassurance that I may well hear very little if any noise.

Hi,

In reply to your query regarding your cabin above the Casino on the Dawn Princess, we have stayed in D612, D613 which are both on the same floor as the Casino which are just around the corner from the Casino, the passageway leads straight into the Casino, we have had no trouble with noise on either cruise, we book these cabins as they are the quickest route up to the Horizon Court without too many people using the lifts at that end, you just get out near the pool(I think on Deck 12) and walk forward towards the Horizon Court.

I hope you can take some photos of the new renovations and post them on this thread so we all can see, thanks.
