Oasis question: Day 1 lunch

Last time on Oasis we had lunch at Giovanni's Table after boarding the ship on Day 1. It was a great way to begin the week and there were very few eating there. Is this still an option? The website only allows for dinner reservations and I've seen conflicting statements here on CC. Anyone have current information? Thanks!

Yes, lunch at Giovanni's is still an option, just walk up. Royal has discontinued all pre-booking of specialty restaurant lunches. Edited June 6, 2015 by clarea

We ate there last week on day 1. It was very good and by the time we finished, our room was ready.

How much is the speciality restaurant lunches? Is it the same price as dinner?

No, lunch is usually $5 to $10 less per person.

Glad I read that twice and saw LUNCH. I will prebook my 35th anniversary dinner, but will probably book a Sabor lunch on board.
