OfTheSeasCruiser Posted June 8, 2015 #26 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I would definitely go with option 2 and Venice. I haven't been anywhere in Europe yet, but that 12 night cruise with the overnight in Venice is on my bucket list! Hopefully 2018!
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted June 8, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted June 8, 2015 It's your birthday - Do Both:D I contemplated it, but I think (again, assuming I like RCCL when I'm on the Radiance at the end of July) I'll go with option 2 and just plan for some super special excursions. I think you'll enjoy it. To me, the lack of cars makes Venice like no place else in the world. We were there in November (not on a cruise) and at night walking back from restaurants, it was like being on a film set. So quiet, few people out and about -- it's magical. Having the opportunity to be in the city after the crowds go back to the cruise ships will make a big difference in your experience there. Enjoy!
