Same Price, what would you do?

I contemplated it, but I think (again, assuming I like RCCL when I'm on the Radiance at the end of July) I'll go with option 2 and just plan for some super special excursions.

 

I think you'll enjoy it. To me, the lack of cars makes Venice like no place else in the world. We were there in November (not on a cruise) and at night walking back from restaurants, it was like being on a film set. So quiet, few people out and about -- it's magical. Having the opportunity to be in the city after the crowds go back to the cruise ships will make a big difference in your experience there.
