Any feedback on Hotel Arlecchino in Venice for July pre cruise?

I am looking for a 2 night stay pre cruise in a location convenient to Venice for our 1st visit to the city. I also think we will need AC in July and prefer to have Wifi.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!:)

Hi. Stayed one night after a cruise because of the location -- so close to Piazzale Roma with only one bridge to schlep bags over from the People Mover. Plus we had an early flight and just walked to the ATVO bus. Smallest room we ever booked anywhere in Europe but ok for what we needed. Staff were helpful and sent us to a great restaurant nearby. It's a long walk to St Mark's Square and the hotel is not particularly scenic or plush but may be a decent choice for a short stay.

We stayed there for two nights pre cruise August 2014.

Very convenient. We used the bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma, and walked everywhere else, including all over Venice and to the start of our cruise at Santa Marta pier.

Staff at the hotel friendly and helpful. Breakfast good - the breakfast room is small, but we obviously avoided the busy times both mornings.

Our room was small, but we have had many smaller in Europe! We were on the corner and had views over Piazzale Roma in one direction and down a canal the other way. Clean and adequate for the two nights we had there. I do not remember A/C or lack of, or whether it was an issue. We had windows that opened.

Wifi included and worked well.

We would return to this hotel again if we ever find ourselves needing accommodation in Venice again.

According to Tripadvisor, they have A/C and wifi. We're staying there pre-cruise in July and I'm hoping they will have A/C! ;) Lots of good reviews here and on Tripadvisor! :)

Thanks for these replies!! It's so good to get real feedback. We booked this cruise last minute due to some family issues and it's harder to figure things out quickly. Thankfully the CC forum members are here to help!!!!

Just returned home last night from 12 night cruise. Stayed an extra night at Arlecchino...could see it from Piazelle Roma....very comforting! It was a perfect location for taking the bus the next morning. Has AC and wifi and breakfast in the morning. Room is small, but we had a great view of a canal. Cute little seating area outside hotel...wifi works here, too!
