2 cruises down for us on Carnival and I was messing around on their site just for pricing and never booked and BAM 2 offers, 1 "free cruise" call last night, was not home so I dont know the details and I was looking online and had a very generous "Journys" cruise and was shocked on how cheap the prices were, so much so I had to call and see if I was going to have to sit through a time share program!

WOW......................

Now decideing on which one I want, still want to find out the details on the "free cruise"......

Who knows how these things work.

I have the Journeys offer, but when I click through, I can't click on anything to choose destinations, dates, nothing. :-|

Same here. My fiance has it but when I go to book screen stays gray

I had the same issue so I clicked on my cruise deals then VIFP members then past guest offers, the Journeys link never produced anything and times out, but past guest offers had the offers mixed in there, give it a try!

I just booked it! I cancelled my Oasis trip and we are going on the 10 day on the Dream leaving Oct. 15th. I got a letter in the mail and finally looked it up last Friday. What a deal! $150 for an interior and they give you $150 in room credit. It is free!!! I paid the upgrade however and hopped on a balcony for $400 per person plus we get the $150. room credit. A 10 day cruise for $650 plus port fees is just amazing! I am a very happy camper. Especially since my Royal cruise was going to be $2300 before we set foot on the ship.

I will be paying more attention to my offers from them in the future! WHOOHOO!!:D I have not cruised Carnival in quite a few years. I am pretty sure that is why they sent me the offer. They wanted my business back.

I agree The only time I get offers is when I have nothing booked. Even casino offers.

The only offer I have seen with something else booked was the vista offers a few months back

I have found this true at least from my perspective. When on Elation in March I asked the casino host to see if I had enough play to get an offer. When disappeared and came back 10 minutes later and gave me a letter and said that since I was already booked for a cruise that she could not extend me an offer. She may have been blowing smoke but we get quite a few offer (pack and play) and most recently a premier casino offer, but only when I had nothing booked.

Again that is just my experience so I may be totally off base. So I won't book a cruise until I get an offer. I have been on 4 cruises in the last year and a 5th in September never paid more than port fees(couple of pay 50, get 50 OBC and one 70 upgrade to balcony). My only full fare cruise was my first one.

It has been my experience that I don't get any offers if I am currently booked on a cruise.

Since I travel solo most of the time now, DH and the rest of my family will get them because they typically don't have anything booked. I don't have any reservations now, so I'll bet that the next go around after June 30 that I'll get one. It's all in the timing.

I haven't had one booked for 3 years and I'm like the OP, NADA!

Wife and son get them but none of the good offers that others get.

Mine has said that for two years. My wife is the one who gets offers and she is not the one who does the bookings.

That must be it. I'm experiencing the same thing - Wife gets all the offers and I do/pay for all the bookings...

My VIFP offers has had this message for over a month!!

* There are no new Special Offers at this time.

We update them frequently - so please check back for offers just for you

I don't understand why I have NO offers on my page any more. Is it just me or anyone else?? I"m gold and will soon be platinum with 1 trip currently booked.

Caribbean bookings are way up this year, and Carnival has not had to do much to entice customers to book this summer. Maybe this fall the special offers will resume--you know, after school goes back and people have finished their summer vacations. Alaska and Europe have been more reasonable than Caribbean lately.

I have been surprised this year about Thanksgiving. Normally cruising over Thanksgiving is pretty affordable. But this year Carnival's Thanksgiving rates are close to Christmas rates. I was going to cruise Carnival over Thanksgiving, but will not unless the prices come down some. I've noticed other more premium cruise lines' rates are better in the Caribbean than Carnival's are. It pays to comparison shop. I'll likely choose a land-based trip for Thanksgiving if Carnival's rates don't come down. New Orleans recently banned smoking in casinos so I'll likely do that instead if Carnival's Thanksgiving prices don't come down.

No, I'll show them to DH, but we've done 2 cruises this year, with another to follow, so I'll have to see if he is cruised out. I'm always ready. Those Journeys cruises go to some places I've never been - just not sure about that many days off in a row. Can't beat the pricing, though.

I have four offers on mine for the longest time. Could have used the first one if they had 7 day Thanksgiving cruises on mine but all they have are short cruises 3-4 days and longer cruises 8+ days on mine.

Go now private offer - starting at 129, up to $50 OBC, summer to fall 205

Plan now private offer starting at 169 Dec 2015 to May 2016

Carnival journeys bonus offer starting at 389 up to $100 OBC

Past guest offer up to 2 category upgrade

That sounds like a gret offer for Journey's. Are they not selling enough cabins yet on these Journey cruises?
