Question about sailing out of Barcelona. I'm doing a transatlantic next year and noticed the replenish price is $3 more. I assume that is the VAT. Is 18% added to the $22 a day. If you purchase the package once you are done with ports and crossing the Atlantic, does the VAT disappear. Our first4 days are ports and a cruise day in the middle.

That's correct, the VAT stops once you leave the tax zone.

Any soft drinks at the bars always tastes off to me. Asked the bar tender and he said it had something to do with the source for them are all in one place and the syrup travels a long distance. My guess is something about the desalinization process does something. Good luck and Cheers.

If I order a drink package pre-cruise (on line) will I get some sort of confirmation? I know my credit card will be charged immediately, no problem there, I just want to make sure I have some sort of documentation that the purchase was made and paid for prior to embarkation. Will there be a Coke cup waiting in our cabin when we get aboard, or how do we go about getting it? I want to surprise my sister with this as she is a big seltzer drinker.
