My parents booked this Alaskan cruise to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I read that they can renew their vows and have a cake/balloons delivered to their room.

 

Is there anything else I can organize to make their vacation more memorable?

You could pay their daily service charge for the week, buy them 3/5 or 7 day dinner pkg.

That vow renewal service is pretty costly, I'd buy them the Dining Package so they can eat at the upcharge restaurants every evening.

 

OR book them on a plane excursion in AK. Check the Alaska boards for information.

I don't know how much you want to spend, but you could secretly pay to upgrade them to a suite - penthouse or above. (We did this for my BIL and new SIL's honeymoon cruise - boy were they ever surprised and thrilled! They had no idea whatsoever until they reached the port as they had not noticed the subtle cabin number change when they printed their tickets. All they knew at the port was that they were told they had been "upgraded" and were sent to the VIP room. Imagine their surprise when escorted to their suite! LOL!)

 

You could also surprise your parents by cruising with them in your own cabin, of course. Don't tell them you are going and make sure to schedule different flight arrangements to reach the port. I think they will be surprised and delighted.

 

You could also setup a VIP shore excursion for them. Something like a Helicopter to Hubbard Glacier

Flightseeing over the Misty Fjords

Dog Sledding

 

Whatever you think would surprise and delight them.
