Breeze or Glory?

Trying to decide between Cove balcony on Breeze or Grand scenic stateroom on Glory. We've sailed the Breeze and loved it! Our favorite spot was the Red Frog pub, which I know the Glory doesn't have. I know the Glory has less options overall but we do have the grand scenic oceanview booked right now. So trying to decide which cabin to choose between two very different ships. Any experienced opinions? Thx!

Been on the Glory multiple times and she has been our favorite ship. It now has the 2.0 upgrades which includes the Red Frog Pub, burrito bar, etc.

We will be sailing on the Breeze in Jan 2016. The Breeze appears to be far ahead as far as special things to do, eating opportunities etc. I don't think that you're comparing apples with apples. At any rate, both ships should provide you with an excellent cruise. If you're bringing kids, the edge has to be with the Breeze due to the water park alone.

Good luck!

And the ropes course!

After sailing the Breeze I could not imagine going to a ship with lesser things.

But we do have kids so that does matter.

We've sailed on Glory 5 times and are sailing on Breeze in less than two weeks.:D Glory does not have the Red Frog Pub - or most of the alternative dining options, for that matter. However, it is a very comfortable ship and we never lacked for things to do.

Sailed on both and loved them! There is not a Red Frog Pub on Glory which we really liked on the Breeze and missed on Glory. But entertainment on Glory and Breeze was great. Glory was smaller so easy to get around. If I had to choose and price was the same then I would choose Breeze.

Not to digress further....but that is a nice itinerary. I wonder how those extended cruises are being received....are they selling or not?

The Glory does have a few venues that the Breeze does not, including the Alchemy Bar, the artist formerly known as the EA Sports Bar, and Fish n' Chips lunch restaurant.

The Breeze has many venues that the Gory does not, including Thrill Theater, Waterworks, ropes course, Ocean Plaza, Red Frog Pub, a spa with the T-pool, Indian Tandoor, Cucina del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi, Sea Dogs, Fat Jimmy's C-side BBQ.

As you have stated, the Glory offers the Captain's Suites, Grand Scenic Oceanview, and Scenic Oceanview rooms on the Lido deck which are not on the Breeze, and the Breeze have the cove balconies only available on Dream class ships.

The Breeze is the best ship in the fleet right now (until the Vista arrives), so you would never be wrong in taking her, but the Glory is a great ship as well.

I was feeling a little of the "same old" on Carnival until I sailed on the Breeze. Loved the ship and all the amenities. She is my favorite Carnival ship so far!!! :D

Just got off Glory 2 days ago. She is showing her age - mostly minor things in the cabins. Public area are in mostly good shape. The shows were fabulous, the theater seats, a little tired. The American table menus - not a fan. Food was a bit of a downer - not as good as usual. Service was great, though.

We chose her over Breeze for the itinerary, though.

I had a highly disappointing cruise on the breeze last summer. I cant really blame the ship but it seems to fall into it. Missed 2 of 4 ports and arrived at one 6hrs late. Literally rained the whole cruise.

That being said I had an awesome cruise on the liberty a few years ago which is the same as the glory. We will probably be going on the glory in August.

I guess I am against the minority a bit here and didn't find the breeze all that much different or better. Which is odd because I always want to cruise the newest biggest ships. We have been on Allure as well.

I would book on itinerary and price honestly.

We did a back to back from Glory room 9200 (grand scenic ocean view I think it's called, huge windows) then to an inside on the Breeze (how we normally do it).

The room on Glory was great, but the windows have to be closed at sunset, which I didn't like. We kept the closed most of the time because the sun made it really hot in the room with it open :( But the space was awesome.

The shows were better on the Glory. Both the stage shows and the comedy. The kids also liked the kids club better on the Glory. Other than that, the Breeze was a better experience. Better service, shorter wait times for dinner, better water slides, more food options, better lay out over all. My husband is very sensitive to smoke. On Glory, trivia is held right next to the casino, across the path, which meant we skipped it all week because it was pretty much sitting in the casino to play. The casino is easier to avoid on Breeze, trivia is on the other side, and smoke doesn't wander through.

The Breeze was more crowded. Longer lines at the buffet. But no real issues on either ship. It really depends on what you are looking for. Both have American menus now. We had a fun time on both. I would probably do the Breeze before the Glory, but if the price was right I would certainly jump back on the Glory.
