Sea-FAB Posted June 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2015 We will be sailing on Azamara Quest in late August. There are two excursions offered in the port of Bordeau, France. Both are to wineries. One is called Margaux Wine Tour, and the other is Vineyards of Sauternes & Graves. If anyone can share their thoughts on either or both of these excursions we would appreciate the input as we can only do one of them. Thank you.... Ithikan Posted June 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2015 Hi Fred, We enjoyed a full day Azamara excursion in 2012 from Bordeaux, which featured cycling through the vineyards around St. Emilion. The coach drove past Pomerol and other chateaux in the Entre-Deux-Mers region; wine tasting after a hour or 2 of peddling through a landscape of vineyards; and lunch in St. Emilion. It was a full day and so very worthwhile - I am sorry to see your cruise this year has dropped the bicycles from their St. Emilion offering. You could put this together on your own if interested, there are local tours on offer, and you've plenty of time in Bordeaux : )
