bjtomko Posted July 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2015 We will be staying in San Juan pre and post. I am looking at the Courtyard Isla Verde resort due to Marriott points. We would like to go to Old San Juan one day. Is there a bus or similar transportation available that is less expensive than a taxi? If so, is there a place I can go to learn more about it like cost, how long it takes to get from point A to B, etc.? If anyone has any recommendations of things to do, eat or a different place to stay, I would love to hear your feedback! Thinking of the Flavors of San Juan tour and/or Ecoquest Ziplining tour. RayInPR Posted July 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Yes. There are public buses in the metro area. They run when they run ... no real set schedule. Suitcases are not permitted on the bus. Google "san juan DTOP AMA bus" and you'll find info.
luv2trvlnow Posted July 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Yes they run when they run. From Isla Verde it will take about 50 minutes once on the bus. The cost is .75 per person. Just ask the person at the front desk at the Courtyard where to catch the bus.
