Miami Marathon January 24th 2016

I understand the marathon will be happening when we return from our cruise. I have just been notified they have changed our flight time to 12:30pm. Will this be enough time to get to Miami airport?

Your post has me freaked out, we have a 1:00 flight from FLL on the same day. I'm hoping this isn't going to be a huge issue!

I'll agree with Keith. Taxis and shuttles will use the tunnel not Biscayne and Port Blvd. The marathon starts at the American Airlines Arena which is north of Port Blvd. For folks departing that day, the marathon should be nearly over if not completely over by 11AM and should not affect the Biscayne/Port intersection for those staying downtown. Only N. Miami Ave at NE5th should be impacted. Although the turnaround for the full is just south of there and I think they come back up Biscayne. But a 5 hour marathoner would be past that before 10 AM.
