Self assist question

We have seen this happen many times.

For disembarking I usually wait to be dead last since my flight arrangements are generally not tight. One thing I've learned from my cruises all Carnival. If you can take it off with you and handle safely go for it. Otherwise for assistance you have to leave your luggage outside your cabin door by a certain time another nuisance for me anyway. However, if I'm taking my large roller bag (larger than your standard 22") I'd check that for embarkation. If you check any bags, make sure any medications, keys are in your carry on. Also pack a swimsuit, and clothse for the evening as sometimes you may get your bag delivered in the evening which could be an inconvenience. Also any grooming things that you may need.

What time do you have to be out of your cabins? And leave the ship? Breeze out of Port of Miami.

We'd be able to handle our luggage for self-assist, and we don't have to be at the airport until 12:00, so we are not in any rush to get off. But don't really want to lug our things around before we actually leave the ship (like, to go eat breakfast.)

We were on the Breeze in May. You have to be out of your cabin by 8:30

Out of the cabin by 8-8:30. It will be in the paperwork. Usually all off is around 10.

No limit, just need to get it off yourself. I found that was the best part of my Ecstasy cruise last week.

It's amazing what some pax lug off the ship. [emoji33]

I had a giant roll-on suitcase that was bigger than me and yes, I rolled it off at 8:45. It was that, or wait until my level was called at 10:30am and then pick up my luggage from the carousel in custom with those huge lines. No, thank you.

The papers you get the last day will tell you what time you need to be off and also what time you need to have your luggage outside of the door if that's what you choose to do.

Last time we left the ship with the Plats, Diamonds and FTTF people and we were off around 8. So although you have to be out of your room by 8:30, if you are really wanting to be in the first group getting off the ship, you need to get moving earlier than that. Self assist people meet usually down in the lobby or a specified area and then are directed off the ship after the Plats, diamond, and FTTF people. Then they will start group 1. The best think about self assist is that the lines in customs haven't backed up yet.

This hasn't happened for us on our last 2 cruises. The first time, they thought we had already been escorted off so we were one of the last to disembark. There were about 40 of us. We kept trying to tell people but no one seemed to listen... Second time, we couldn't leave because the baggage area hadn't been cleared so they let self-assist off first. We just made ourselves comfy and waited our turn. Kind of nice to have the ship to ourselves for a few extra moments!
