Does anyone know the size in inches of the beds on NCL or a web site to find . We are thinking of trying NCL rather than Carnival this time, but the size of the bed ia a concern. I am used to the size of Carnival's king.

Thanks

We just had a long & fun "discussion" about the size of regular NCL beds - and, I am pretty sure, with minor exceptions, they are sized the same whether it's for an inside, oceanview & "regular" balconies (and, probably - not 100% sure - the average mini-suites as well)

It is typically 2 twin beds at between 36" to 39" wide (UK-sized or US-sized) push or combined together to form a California King at 72" wide or regular King bed at 78" wide. It is most definitely much wider than a Queen bed as defined by most at only 60" wide (an extra 12" to 18" wider) ... Points of reference & standards varied for the global travelers, as we've slept in odd sized (smaller) beds termed for 2 adults around the world.

Ask the RS for extra padding/foam toppers, etc. on top of the mattress, especially on "older" ships with well-slept foam mattresses, as those can make a heck of difference for sleeping comfort for the duration of the cruise. If the support underneath and/or springs are worn out, see if they can bring or swap a new(er) one if it is sagging ... the thinnly padded foam mattress :eek:on the sleeper sofa and/or pullman bed on the wall or the trestle for the 3rd. and/or 4th. person in the room, that's a different story by itself. :D
