Who else has been given 100 cruises by Carnivals casino

Ok another question about free cruises. I went on my first Carnival Cruise in May. 7 night on the Magic. On the last night, I was given a free cruise from the Casino ( code PMB). I booked a 5 day Triumph cruise with that offer. I just got back from that cruise and was given the letter for a free cruise. Only difference was this time, code was BBS4. It was only good for up to five day sailing, but seems to have much more availability than the PMB did. I gambled much more this time than last, and received gifts during the cruise from the casino this time (wine, chocolate covered strawberries, robe, etc). Any idea why the different code? I assume I will get the Drinks on Us card immediately on my next cruise, as I had 10k+ points this cruise. Does anyone know if this is still true when utilizing the Bounceback offer? I haven't been lucky enough to be offered any premier or elite cruises yet. Any idea of the level of gambling to start getting those offers?

the codes apply to what options are given with each offer. even 1 letter or number is the difference between getting a little and get A LOT!

the premiers are coming...just give it a few. plus check online under your vifp offers. you may have one now.

Thanks for your reply. I keep checking under my VIFP offers. Nothing yet. Hopefully time is all that is needed. I have lots of vacation time, so looking forward to a bunch of cruising. I love gambling, and we have none at home. So, it works out great for me to get the reduced/ free offers for the gambling I would do anyway. I googled the bbs4, but found nothing. The PMB I found mentioned frequently.

My mother plays a few hundred dollars per cruise in the casino and gets fantastic deals all the time. She has just recently booked her 3rd $50/pp cruise (this time a 10day cruise) plus they usually give her $100 onboard credit.

I don't normally gamble, but you better believe I will be gambling on my next cruise in October!

  • 2 months later...

I guess I am curious as to how much money/points are needed to start seeing offers.

Two of us in our group hit the casino everyday. Not high rollers, but I probably spent around $80 a day + hundreds in playback money (earned around 800+ points). I did make the finals for a slots tourney too.

My friend laid down more money, hit 1500 points (Drinks on Us card and cookies delivered to cabin).

What are the chances either one of us will get some sort of deal?

It is a hit and miss... We have cruised one free offer and our next is in Feb... Sadly I drop a lot of money in there lol but it seems to be random.

This time my husband and I both got free offers but with the limited time frame couldn't take both of them :(

Guess we will see if we get any others next year but probably not since we have 2 booked already lol

We don't get the free cruises but did get the 40% and a little cash. We booked a cruise on every one we received and were grateful. Then.....................nothing.

so I was looking at the Princess Web site after seeing a Panama Canal Ad on this site. Carnival had just changed the Panama Cruise we were on to W.Caribbean and we had cancelled.

WOW. The booking engine showed low rates. Like an $800 difference. Plus free gratuities. I called and asked why? I thought this must be the past guest sale of all past guest sales. THEN found out....................we had a casino rate on Princess. WHO knew? We booked that Panama cruise that day. I am not a lucky person. I don't win at Lotto. I don't win at Bingo. I don't win in the Casino. I don't win door prizes. So............I am stunned. Appreciative but still stunned.

So today in the mail .......we got another casino offer from Princess.

Odd how it works out. We were looking to book Carnival, but now it will be Princess. I like both cruises lines very much and know both are owned by Carnival. I wonder if they do cross guest information?

I just got my second pack & play free cabin offer tonight. We just got back September 15 from my previous free cabin cruise. I had just over 500 points in the casino. About 300 were with money I won on slots.

That is what we are taking in Feb... Now if had one for August that would be great lol

The Casino staff keeps track of players and this is where the "Georges" will get more service including return invitations and Jerks do not unless they are big losers.

So true, but shhh, don't tell the jerks, they may change their act!

Nah, probably not.

Just got a call last night from my "new" PVP who told me a fabulous offer just opened up for me. I told her I needed time to go online and check it out. Found out I could go on a 10 or 13-day European cruise on the Vista for $75.00pp, or on various sailings to the Caribbean. But since I work in a school, I cannot use these offers. I will check again tonight and hopefully find something that I can use when school is done for the summer.

Is it the Pack and Play offer? We got a call yesterday and I also checked them out online before calling back. I also work in education but we were able to find a 5 day Western Caribbean over Christmas break. Maybe you should look into those. Not sure which port you sail out of, we are out of New Orleans and there was an option of Dec 21 or Dec 31 that worked for us, neither would require us to miss any work. We chose the one over Christmas since we thought it would be fun to have Christmas Day on the ship.

I play blackjack, DW plays slots. She got the casino offer for $144/pp and $25 casino credit for a 5 day. Our 10th anniversary is next year and we'd decided we were going to put our money towards a different adventure (driving the Blue Ridge Parkway next autumn).

Yeah, with the rate we were offered we decided to do both. :)

So I suppose you have to play more than $50 per cruise in the casino. It would be great to hit something big early then just dump it all back in. Even if you didn't win but got free cruises it would be a win!

As somone that likes to gamble but doesn't really do it much I have no idea how much money we are talking here to start receiving offerers? Are the points the same as dollars moved across your card in the casio? Do you think the offers are based solely on money at the slots or time in casino or tables? Sorry I have no idea but it does seem like it might be worth playing more

Where do you even check to see if you even have offers? We play not alot though. Thanks.

when I have issues sleeping at night ( meds) I go to cruise web sites...read them...do dummy mockings....puts me to sleep pretty soon. Plus we like to cruise and it keeps me aware of what is happening. Do not Follow RCI or NCL

So I saw an ad for Panama Canal Cruises on Cruise Critic message boards and clicked on it. Went to Princess web site. put in the date we had been planning to sail on the cancelled Carnival Panama Cruise...and I did a dummy booking. Pulled up an obstructed cabin on Baja deck...clicked on details........almost fell off of my seat when I saw the price. it did have a red flag..........Sale for the Three for One Sale. Free Gratuities. Free dinner in steakhouse and I think$60 OBC

And it was too low even for all of that. I called. They said I had a casino rate that took 30% of the top. I booked then.

NEXT day I called back to see if I could upgrade to a

Balcony on the BAJA deck that was mid ship and not obstructed FINE. We have a BB balcony on the Baja Deck..( covered and passengers below and above) for what the cheapest inside cost for the ten day cruise + $70 to upgrade to the BB Balcony. AND STUPID me for not booking two cabins for March of 2017. The depoists were only $100. . They told me the Casino Rate lasted until Dec.31 2015. But it ended Sept. 30 BUT new casino offers came in the mail this week......but they are just for May -September. So too late to book for 2017 at that great rate. I am kicking myself. (cabin for us and cabin for daughter's family)

I am going to start monitoring Princess more. I was really stunned. Now we get 10 days, get to go into the Canal on the Ship, Go to Cartengena and never been there. Go back to Costa Rica and the Cayman Islands, both of which I enjoyed. As I said I NEVER WIN ANYTHING. IF 100 PEOPLE WERE IN A ROOM AND 99 PRIZES WERE GIVEN OUT.......I WOULD NOT GET ONE. So.............for that Panama Canal Trip.......might be wise to monitor Princess if you donate to the casino. WE are also going the first of December 2016. Not during the Holiday Season...decorations will be up but not the crowds.Perhaps they wanted to fill the ship.

LONG POST. wanting to share what happened. We were so disappointed over having our cruise cancelled and then it worked out better. That does not happen often.

I have posted this a few times for inquiring minds:

Yes, correct!!!!

BUT, that $12,500 is $12,500 PLAYED, not necessarily LOST. Let's do some casino math for the shocked and awed crowd. I'll use roulette since that is what I am most familiar, and this will be some loose math based on average statistics.

Carnival's roulette wheel (zero and double zero) has a house edge of 5.26%, meaning for every $100 I bet (using the 1 in 38 chance to win) the casino will end up with $5. According to endless gambling research, people play 5 times the amount they start with at a sitting. So, if I start with $100 playing $10 per spin and keep replaying my winnings I should play $500 and end up with $75 left. If I keep playing my $75 I should play $375 and end up with $56. If I keep playing my $56 I should play $280 and end up with $42...and on and on. If I keep playing until my original $100 is all gone, I should have played $1835.

Based on that, to reach $12,500 of PLAY, I should have lost $700. So, in this example a 5000 point free cruise is NOT $12,500 of cash out your pocket, but $700 (assuming you get the average number of wins and losses). So it is entirely possible for people to say they only had $100 and ended up $200 ahead and still got a free cruise. It's also possible for someone to play $10,000 and be horribly horribly unfortunate and lose every time and not get a free cruise. It's not the win and loss that the casino counts but the amount of PLAY.

Please note this is based on a bunch of established averages and individual results WILL vary.
