Who else has been given 100 cruises by Carnivals casino

the free cruises work great thus far, and when they start costing and are no longer truly free, we wont bother

Same here. One thing about Carnival is they only consider your most recent cruise in determining perks. So, we booked our upcoming B2B using 2 different casino offers, and then a Premier Cruise offer in February. Any points I earn on the November trips will only get me a bounce back offer good within 3 months. Since I won't be able to take another cruise before the February one I already have booked, any gambling done in November will be useless for perks. So, aside for the fun chips I receive on the 5 day cruise (which I will play on one big single bet), I won't be gambling on those cruises. The casino cash from the second cruise I will just pocket.

Good question. The one thing i do know - its not about the net loss at the end of the cruise, i say this because 3 of my 8 cruises i walked away up big time ( 3000-11000) Other cruises i may have been up 100 or down 1000, give and take, and the win or the loss in the end had no impact on the offer...

it is about points, and points on the slots accumulate with each spin. I took particular notice as i had the same questions some time ago... and i know i get points like this 1-1-1-1-2 1-1-1-1-2

so every 5 spins i get 6 points

when playing the slots and you start with 50 and lose down to 30 and win 84 and lose 26 and win 117 and lose and win etc, it doesnt take long to accumulate points

the big thing is, you cannot have another cruise booked, or no freebie. You will get a % off your next booking

you have to have the required number of points by the second last night, meaning, if you get off the ship on a sunday, points you accumulate saturday are not going towards your offer. It would cut off late friday night.

i know this because a friend and i were cruising, i already had my free cruise i knew because of my points accumulated, and she was at 4700. It was friday evening

she said oh i'll get that other 300 tomorrow ( you need 5000 for an interior if doing a 7 or 8 night cruise)

well tomorrows points for her did not count. She discussed with casino staff and they explained they have to cut off a day early so that they generate a report of who has what points ( 5000 interior, 10000 OV, 25000 Balcony etc)

they sent this report to Miami, who in return send them back a listing of who gets what, and who gets only a discount letter because they have a cruise booked. Obviously the casino staff would not know about bookings for everyone in the future.

the casino staff then take this report they receive back from Miami, and they prepare letters for all those receiving offers, and deliver them last night of the cruise, usually in the casino.

this comes from the horses mouth, discussed with several casino hosts / managers, and none of them had a different explanation.

the points and whats recived may vary, sometimes its an interior with cash rather than OV, etc, but other than that, thats how it works to my knowledge.

Wow, thanks for an outstanding reply!

I have seen plenty of people say this, but I have gotten a bounce back offer on every cruise I have been on, whether I had a cruise booked or not. In the most recent case, I had a free 8 day already booked this November when I went on a free cruise in August. I used the offer from August that sailing to book a 5 day in November to make it a back to back. When I have a cruise already booked, the wording of the letter and the rate code are different, but I still got the offers.

Specifically, the latest letter said something like, "We see you already have a cruise booked. Call this number with this rate code to find out what you are eligible for." I sent an email and they responded that they could convert an existing booking to a casino rate and offer cruise cash IF the existing booking wasn't already a casino offer (which mine was), or they could offer a free interior on a new booking. So, I booked the 5 day.

So, let me get this straight. For slots it's based on the number of spins, not the amount bet. In other words, if I was to play $.01 slots and only bet 1 line per spin, for every $.05 I bet, I would get 6 points?

No. Each point is based on $2.50 of play. It will round up at some point I don't know, but I don't think it would round up $.05 to equal 1 point. Someone will have to experiment and tell us. Good excuse to go take a slot gambling cruise!

I think I'm usually just short of the 5,000 points. I'm pretty sure I was on my last cruise.

But, here's the thing. I've received two offers in the past from HAL for free cruises and couldn't go! I have ONE sailing on HAL, 5 years ago. Yes, it was 14-nights RT to Hawaii, and we had lots and lots of sea days, so I spent a fair amount of time in the casino.

But I did NOT lose (or even play) huge amounts (slots only).

I'm sailing in 2 weeks to Bermuda. Full fare. I'm sailing 11/28 on Sunshine (11-night Journeys cruise that I'd already booked and converted to a Casino rate when it was available; reduced rate only, mere $300 casino cash). And then I'm booked on The Big One (for me), the Vista Inaugural.

Anyway, so I've been sailing 3x a year lately and have all my vacation time and dollars tied up.

And what do I get in my inbox last night. An offer from HAL for a complimentary interior stateroom on at least a dozen different upcoming sailings. But get this! One is 25 days! NY to Rome! Of course, it leaves on October 27, so booking air at this point would probably be astronomically expensive.

But a free cabin for 25 nights?! Are you kidding me?!?

And a free 17-day circle Hawaii or 18-day Panama Canal on 12/18. 25-day Amazon Explorer RT from FT Lauderdale on 11/24.

AND I CAN'T GO!!! :(

But Carnival can't give me more than $50 casino cash on my upcoming Bermuda cruise. And doesn't give me bounce-back offers. And I don't even get Pack-and-Play offers.

Vista will be #25 but I'm not using my Milestone credit because I'm going as cheaply as possible, cabin-wise, because other expenses are high. So, I'll do one more on Carnival (hopefully a Panama Canal), and then I'll wait for another HAL free offer that I can actually use. And I'll probably never receive another one. Sigh.

I know, I know. First world problems. Poor me. I can't take a free cruise to Europe. Boo Hoo. Still!!!
