Help Miami Airport Hotels

I am trying to decide between Comfort Inn Suites Miami Airport North and Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport. It will just be me and 73 year old mom. Just one night pre-cruise. Price is about the same for both. Looking for something in a safe area with somewhere to get dinner rather close by because of moms mobility. TIA

Definitely go for the Courtyard Marriott.

Not any particular reason. I know parts of Miami are not safe just like anywhere else, but I have always felt safe pre cruise when I was at an airport hotel. Don't know why, I just do.

That streak will be broken if you check into that Comfort Suites. Trust what the locals recommend.

The Blue Lagoon airport location offers a few good chains. Not a scary area.

I agree with this suggestion - we always stay at the Homewood Suites blue Lagoon when we are arriving late -- several other hotels in the area (Hampton Inn, Sofitel, Hilton, etc.). Shopping and dining nearby in the local strip mall.

Good luck! :)

The Miami Airport area is not safe. It is pretty dismal and some areas are scary.

I would stay in Coral Gables if you want to be in a safe area of Miami.
