krmckee Posted August 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Also, is room service coffee better? Is it free + tip? How long does it take to get to your room?
CruiserBruce Posted August 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Far better to ask this on the Carnival board. ... Whether one coffee is better than another is totally subjective. Edited August 1, 2015 by CruiserBruce
092306 Posted August 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Room service coffee is the same as in MDR and lido. You can fill out an order for a pot with half and half the night before and you will have it the next morning around the time you request. It is free + tip. Carafes of half and half are a available in the coffee areas of the lido and its served with your coffee in the MDR. I won't drink coffee without half and half or cream and I had no problem finding or getting it on the ship.
SadieN Posted August 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Discovered this Hint about the lido coffee.....It's brewed from grounds (they're in the cylinder on top) in huge urns. Look at the glass cylinder in front--- If it's filled high the pot is fresh and has a better chance of tasting better. Time of day is a big issue. Busy times means it doesn't sit around too long. Amazing what can be learned at 3am. Various creamers are in carafes next to the coffee. Plan on 30 minutes for room service. When you call it in they will give you an ETA.
