Inward vs. Outward

Stateroom doors, that is.

 

I noticed Anthem has outward opening doors for the studio balcony cabins. Do all cabins have these? Is this a new trend for the newer ships rolling out? If doors open out, wouldn't they hit someone walking down the hallway?

 

Which do you prefer?

I've never had a cabin with a door that opened outward. Don't think I would like dodging opening doors in the hallway.

If doors open outward, it's because the doors are recessed into a small foyer.

I agree, outward doors would be pretty dangerous for folks out in the hallway.

Not all category cabins have outward doors. The ones that do, are cabins that have doors with a small alcove for it to fit in. No danger of anybody getting hit by an open door.
