mushroom Posted August 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2015 We are on Uniworld's itinerary that begins with a couple of days in Prague before meeting the boat in Nuremberg to begin our cruise to Basel. The itinerary does not mention any touring time in Nuremberg. However we are hoping to be able to visit the Parade Grounds before the boat sails. If you have done this schedule and have any suggestions I would love to hear from you. Thanks!
ingo_e Posted August 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2015 A taxi from the ships docking location to the ralley grounds costs around 15€. Walking around the Zeppelinfield is for free, last admission to the Dokumentationcenter is at 5pm

Hoyaheel Posted August 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2015 Does your itinerary leave Nuremberg the same day you embark from Prague? We did a similar itinerary on Avalon in December (though we did not do the pre-cruise Prague section, my in-laws did). We embarked NUE on Friday but spent Sat touring NUE before departing on Sat afternoon. If that's the case with your Uniworld itinerary, you'll have time (either late on embarkation day or the following morning) to tour on your own. mushroom Posted August 5, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted August 5, 2015 The published itinerary is not very clear...however, it sounds like we leave the day we embark. The next morning it states that we "awaken in charming Bamberg".
