platinum priority tendering

Is this written somewhere? I've never heard of it.

 

I am platinum and have experienced this many times on Carnival. Each platinum guest is allowed to bring up to 5 guests with them. Here is a link to a thread discussing it and there is a photo regarding tendering FAQ at post #9. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1940168

I guess when/if I've read that before I interpreted it as additional people within your party/family/group, not additional random passengers.
