Divers in the Boston Cruise Channel

Hey all....while I was up in the Cruiseport channel in my little boat to gawk at the Jewel of the Seas this afternoon, The Mass State Police had divers under the Golden Princess! (Princess mega liner) Anyone have any idea ? Maybe just a cursory homeland security inspection ? Who Knows. Any news ?

I love to torture myself, 14 more days until the Serenade in Honolulu, I need a napkin to stop this drooling !!!

DCL has divers inspect the hull of the Magic and Wonder in Port Canveral before setting to sea. I'm pretty sure it's status quo with all lines these days.

In the past, there has been huge problems with drug traffikers attaching bundles of "product" to the hulls of cruise ships. In the past, this has been a point of emphasis for law enforcement agencies. With increase scrutiny following 9/11, there obviously other, more serious, security concerns that may have warranted some attention.

It was probably a coincidence, they were probably just trying to fix the new underwater tunnel that leaks. They only spent billions on the Big Dig... :p
