Mr Luxury Posted October 26, 2015 #1227 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) I love that! Jake The Peg rules! :) Rolf Harris is in jail and serving time for interfering with young people. Although his act was popular. Edited October 26, 2015 by Mr Luxury

UKCruiseJeff Posted October 27, 2015 #1229 Share Posted October 27, 2015 AhhhLux is back. I thought there was something wrong with that guy, but didn't know what it was. Good Morning Spins, Whatever that problem is, the only viable solution is to ignore .... that will probably have the desired outcome! :) A long day here with #2 son. We won't be seeing him over Christmas so I did him a full Christmas lunch today. He misses my food. The highlight home made chestnut stuffing! UKCruiseJeff Posted October 27, 2015 #1234 Share Posted October 27, 2015 A wet and grey night here in Blighty. We had some chestnuts baked in the airfryer .... less romantic but better tasting .... but our fire is nice tonight. Not a picture up to our Tel's quality .... just an ipad piccy but at least you will get the drift ..... :) Jeff

Rare jpalbny Posted October 27, 2015 #1236 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Clear cold night here - enjoying the Supermoon! Incredible color and brightness. Didn't have time to take really good pictures but I'll go through my snapshots later and see if any are worth a post.
Rare mysty Posted October 27, 2015 #1237 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Spectacular moon here as well! No pics though. Hope you got something JP! It was awesome!
Rare jpalbny Posted October 28, 2015 #1238 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Here are a few shots. No tripod, and just snapped a few in between eating dinner, much to Chris' amusement... Did not have time to play much with exposure settings, so that's what we're stuck with! The color was incredible as the moon rose through the trees. I liked how blurry the branches were in this shot, though the orb is badly overexposed. Still, that allows you to capture the color of the sky: Here are a few more as I progressively dialed down the exposure time: Just enough clouds to make it interesting: And one near-perfect exposure! Guess I'll watch a little baseball. I can't get very interested these days, but I suppose I should take a look!
Rare mysty Posted October 28, 2015 #1239 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Those are great pictures JP! Thanks for posting them! Your moon is even more spectacular than ours!

Rare mysty Posted October 28, 2015 #1241 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Mark, thanks for starting my morning off with a giggle! :) Yes, what I meant to say was the view of our shared moon from JP's location was more spectacular than our view. Although sometimes it does feel like I live on another planet. :)
Rare jpalbny Posted October 28, 2015 #1242 Share Posted October 28, 2015 I think it's the same one. ;) Yes, but ours is 33% brighter! ;)

UKCruiseJeff Posted October 28, 2015 #1244 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Someone has nicked ours and substituted clouds. It's the Americans. They always nick our stuff. We all know that the Moon is British. And they don't have a kiddies room. And you are allowed to take your own food. :D Jeff

I thought you mind find this one interesting as it demonstrates the devotion to duty policeman have in Ontario... It is merely a Canada Undry recognising that his daily vitamins are more important than fretting about damp socks. If he was a Mounty he would of course be higher in more than one sense of the word. :) Jeff
Rare mysty Posted October 28, 2015 #1248 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Thanks for thinking of me Mark! Dedication is our middle name! Although dedicated to what exactly, I am not at liberty to say. :) We are expecting the remnants of Patricia to arrive here around noon. Not very excited to see her though. Rare mysty Posted October 28, 2015 #1249 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Canada Undry to be sure J! Patricia is due to arrive soon. We are well used to soggy socks. For some reason we did not take the concept of wellies with us when we left the motherland. The Mounties on horseback are only a subset of the force. :) You are right that they would be higher in more ways than one. :)
UKCruiseJeff Posted October 28, 2015 #1250 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Isn't a Mounty not on horseback an Unmounty? :) Jeff
