Rainy day excursions

Just checked the weather for next monday and tuesday and it says rain... Alot of rain. I am devastated bc my heart was set on a beautiful beach day at horseshoe bay. Please suggest an inside excursion to do with a spoiled 10 yr old and a beast of 3 yr old. Tia!

The Caves and the Aquarium / Zoo are both good things to do in the rain. Bermuda can often get passing rain showers, so do not despair...

Another good place to take children is the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.

The Bermuda Museum right there in Dockyard is well worth a visit too.

 

The only weather site worth going to for our weather is weather.bm - it's forecasting sunny periods and showers for Monday. US weather sites are usually inaccurate for offshore forecasts.

 

However, whichever site you look at, the truth is that altho' you will likely see some sun on Monday, it probably won't be a good beach day.

I agree with aquarium and caves. We just got back and did them in the rain. We also waited out a big storm in horseshoe bay. Totally worth it. We saw some great fish there. And we hit tobacco bay in just rain. Still had a great time. You just gotta go out and have fun. Bring an umbrella for walks to the bus. Have fun!!
