Eileenfa1 Posted August 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2015 I seen some of u take back to back cruises. How do u do it? Do u ask customer service if the next round is book up ? Or do u plan ahead and book 2 weeks of cruises? Let me know I would love to do this some day. Tia

Just book two back to back cruises on the same ship and if you prefer the same room

Yes, I booked both in advanceat the same time. That turned into a week western followed by the same ports on the following week due to a hurricane impacting the eastern ports. I have my 2nd B2B booked on two Journeys cruises Jan 23 to Feb 2 to Feb 13. It's an eastern itin. followed by a southern, and there are islands I haven't been to yet such as Martinique, Bonaire and Curacao. It starts and ends in Miami so airfare is simple. I don't think you will have much luck if you wait until you are on board to book the next week. I plan ahead and book both in advance. CharlesKru Posted August 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2015 I watch the prices of my cruise up to two days before it sails. in 16 cruises we have never not sailed sold out. If you wanted to be able to do a B2B you would have to book ahead of time. Usually the last week before the cruise, the PVP's call people to see if they would go for a discounted rate... I have gotten a few of these calls, and sadly have had to pass. They do not want to sail not 100%, so they discount really cheap if the ship is not full... Mainly so we can have: 1) Many cabin choices to pick from. 2) The same cabin for both legs of the voyage. Once I locate an itinerary, a cruise ship & a cabin online, I then phone the cruise line to complete the reservation and also to have both booking numbers (linked) to one another. Have a great day! :)
N2Mischief Posted August 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 20, 2015 We have a back to back booked on the Miracle for November 2016, over a year from now, 7 day Mexico and 15 day Hawaii.
Eileenfa1 Posted August 20, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Hi Portsidecruzan[emoji2] Does carnival give you a discount on each cruise or on just the first one? I was reading on a couple of sites that some people only got a discount on one cruise not two. Also, how does dismbark work on b2b
N2Mischief Posted August 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted August 20, 2015 We have never gotten a discount on any of our b2b sailings. As far as turn around day, all the B2B people meet in a designated place onboard ship. They are escorted off the ship, through customs, and right back on the ship, where they may or may not receive a cocktail and have a picture taken of the entire group (delivered to your cabin later).
