tracyd1014 Posted August 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We are booked on the Ruby Princess bound for Hawaii on Oct 3. 15 nights- what's the best night for speciality dining. I know formal night they usually serve a little fancier dinner in the main dining room. And should we make our reservations right away? Suggestions please. HUNKY Posted August 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Formal night is a good selection if you do not wish to dress up, as the specialty restaurants are ALWAYS cruise casual. Yes, make your reservations upon boarding by calling the Dine Line, or visiting the restaurant in person. In addition, a table may be set up in the atrium where restaurant reservations can be made. As most other mainstream cruise lines have online reservation ability, expect to see that option showing up at some point in the future.
Astro Flyer Posted August 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Besides formal nights (particularly if not bringing formalwear) we'll go on the 1st & last nights because those menus do not appeal to us. Another reason is if we have late traditional dining by booking early at a specialty restaurant it works well for us to have an early night before disembarkation.
