Oceanview Guarantee Breakaway

Does anyone know if the minimum oceanview cabins on Breakaway on deck 5 have picture windows or portholes? I'm booking an oceanview guarantee and want to be prepared for the worst.

When are you sailing on your BA itinerary, waiting for assignment ? I don't believe they give you a specific deck location as part of the GTY OV category, but :D

 

We're pleasantly surprised with our GTY OV - waited 3 weeks or so & perhaps 5 weeks before sailing, upgraded to a balcony view on deck 10, FWD however - no complaints at all, far better than any OBC/promo being given "free" at the time, LOL.

 

Portholes that you see are on deck 4 and not for guests cruising on the BA. Those OV on deck 5 all have the bigger "Pictureview" windows - we did do the GEM's OV and their porthole window was actually pretty big.

 

When I saw our deck 10's stateroom # - I thought we're getting one of the few foward looking oceanview with the porthole view, but, it turned out NOT to be with a quick check of the deck map. Yeah :p And, fingers crossed that it was not a mistaken & reassigned at pier check-in, but at least one other CC sailing on the same gotten similar upgrade ... woohoo.

 

Prepared for the worst - do tell/share what you will end up with on the assigned stateroom. Good luck if it's for the September/Fall sailing, odds "should" be better for a nicer location.
