thehams Posted August 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We will be on the Navigator next month (can't flippin wait) and want to know how the debarkation works? I know we can choose to take our own bags or be assisted with it. Do we have to be out of the cabin by a certain time? Does the time vary depending on self or assisted debarkation? If we have to be out of the cabin pretty early are there things to do or places to eat before we get off?

Breakfast does not last as long on the last day, usually ending around 8am. They want you out of the stateroom ASAP in order to have time to clean it for the next cruise. I'd be out by 9am it at all possible.
cb at sea Posted August 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2015 Breakfast is earlier than normal on the last morning...Any and all service you've come to expect is missing on the last morning. Your cruise is over when you go to bed on the last night.
newbiecruiser09 Posted August 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) If you self disembark, you take all your luggage with you and can leave (usually) any time during the departure "window". This means you are carrying, pulling, lugging all your stuff with you. They like you to be out of the rooms by 9am so they can turn the rooms around for the next cruise. Be prepared for your room attendant to be "stalking" the rooms that morning-they want to get started and ready for the next group of occupants. If you want to be assigned a time to depart and have them take you luggage off, you need to put luggage out the night before (not sure by what time in the early early am hours). Keep a carry on bag for any meds, pjs, valuables, etc. We have found breakfast kinda crazy on the last morning since its shorter and we skipped it last time. IMHO, best bet, get off ship and find a nice breakfast. Edited August 25, 2015 by newbiecruiser09
