Rare Hlitner Posted August 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2015 I am not aware (my DW tells me this all the time) of any direct ferry service between Naples and Positano (Euro Cruiser might have better info and should see this post). You would normally have to go to Sorrento first. There is also regular bus service between Sorrento and Positano on the SITA bus...but this can be crowded (or even full) during the main tourist season. Debra Lee Posted August 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2015 We are also hoping to do this... I have the ferry departure times etc, but it seems we will have to take a bus from Positano back to Sorrento, to catch the ferry from Sorrento back to Napoli in time... Would also love to know if anyone else has done this... Thanks. X
euro cruiser Posted August 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) There is no ferry direct from Naples to Positano, you must go to Sorrento and change there. Naples/Sorrento schedule: http://www.alilauro.it/orari-e-tariffe?route_group_id=3 Sorrento/Positano schedule: http://www.alicost.it/?page_id=202&lang=en Coop Sant'Andrea also runs between Sorrento and Positano but for some reason they are not showing their schedule on line: http://www.coopsantandrea.com/en/ You can make it to Positano by 11:05 AM and need to depart for Sorrento at 3:40 PM. If everything goes right that allows you to get the 4:25 back to Naples, if you miss it you can take the Circumvesuviana train back and still be there on time.
