How do you buy drinks after embarkation but before you have your Sea Pass card?

According to what I've read on here, Anthem passengers do not get their Sea Pass cards when checking in at the pier; rather, the cards are waiting for us in our cabins. If that's the case, how do you buy a drink after you board (at lunch, for example) but before the cabins are ready? (Conversely, if you have a beverage package, how does the server or bar tender know?) Or is it the case, unlike other ships, that you go directly to your cabin upon boarding and get your cards?

Your boarding pass has a bar code on it that they scan.

Boarding pass or if you don't have it just give the waiter your stateroom number. Your picture will come up on their screens.

also my room was ready really early (12:30), so not an issue but do what the others have said.
