Sorry you were on that fateful cruise that we read about when the divers had to go down and you were delayed.

 

Still sounds like a good time overall and what a great way to celebrate your anniversary.

 

Air Wars are NOT a fun way to end your cruise. sorry to hear about your issues with SW.

Apparently I was misinformed about Capt. Larry. Orca website still lists him as the tour boat captain, but he was arrested in 2014 for operating a tour boat while drunk. He blew a blood of .115 which is well over the limit for a tour boat captain. The coast guard boarded his boat while on tour. CG took over the boat and took it back to the dock where the boat was met by Juneau police who made the arrest.

 

According to some, this should have resulted in a revocation of his license. I have found no other reference to the incident than the initial news report.

Larry has been running tours for almost 25 years and is the best there is. Brent Nixon, perhaps the best naturalist anywhere, often goes with him when he accompanies cruise ships, and did so last month. There are several tripadvisor reports from August which rave about Larry.

 

He is also a Vietnam vet who served in the Special Forces.

 

Anyway, whatever problems he had in the past have been resolved and nobody should hesitate to book with him.
