Deck and Room ?/The Sun

NW Pacific

Recommended Posts

We have booked one of the aft mini-suites on the Norway deck (there are two), and people on this Board have raved about the aft mini-suites. In addition to those and the minis on the Pool and Fjord decks, there are also aft minis on the Viking deck. Some have mentioned that those cabins sandwiched between other passenger decks are preferable to those under public spaces. Hope this helps.

The best choice for a mini suite, the Pool or Fjord Deck? Any favorite rooms or ones to avoid on either of these decks???

We sailed the Sun at Easter and we had an AD Penthouse 9203 on the Fjord deck, but had family memebers in a mini-suite on the Pool Deck cabin 1015. I would not recommend their room. First it was next door to the fitness center and they heard all the noise and banging in there. It was nice to be right near the pool on sea days but they heard that noise as well. Also the balcony is smaller than the Aft mini-suites. We were told the Fjord Aft mini-suites had larger balconies and the rooms were actually a little larger as well. Hope this helps, enjoy your cruise. Happy Sailing!

There are two cabins at the very front of the ship that are the largest AE (both room and balcony) of any AE's, including those at the AFT. The rooms are 300 sf and the balcony is 86 sf. That is double the balcony size of the other AE's on the pool deck and about 20 more square feet than the aft balconies. I have read many positive reviews on this room.

Here is a link to a review witha picture of AE 1201 on the sun.
