Just been looking at NCL Euro website and see the prices in euros for a cruise is a lot cheaper then paying in pounds.

so could i book a Cruise using there Euro site and pay in euros if i live in the UK to get the fare cheaper?

I always book my NCL cruises through the US office (for several reasons, one of them being the usually lower price), even though I live in Europe. So I am pretty certain you can book the cruise yourself on the ncl.eu. But if you have questions, changes or remarks regarding your booking at a later time, you then would have to contact the EU office instead of the UK office. I have one booking (for the Escape) that was done through the EU site because it was not available on the US site at the time of booking, and my PCC based in USA is not allowed to "touch" it.

We did this for our Epic cruise

Advantages of doing this compared to the UK are

1) Only a 10% non refundable deposit

2) Final payment is 30 days before the cruise not 60

3) Generally lower pricing for guest 3 and 4 if children

4) Same legal protection as booking in the UK but without ABTA

Disadvantages

1) Contact number is French but every time I have phoned I was put through

to an English speaking PCC and I am pretty sure the office is based in the UK

2) Non refundable deposit compared with the US

3) Cannot use ABTA

4) Rules governing changing rooms may incur a fee, price drops, rarely offer

extra OBC, and you cannot transfer booking to a travel agent to receive extra

perks like the US

5) Depending on credit/debit card you may incur a foreign transaction fee of

between 0% - 3% same as booking in the US

I hope this helps

And if you want to book a cruise on the Jade after October 2016 you can't even see any available on the uk site because the uk web site still has not been updated since the cancelled cruise chaos. They are available on the eu site and of course on the us site. Don't know if that is incompetence or on purpose!

You are right, currently many EU rates are cheaper than both the US and the UK, it really depends on currency strength and currently the euro is weak against the pound and the dollar.

I am in the euro area, and did a booking option on the EU site. I then tried their freefone number to pay but it wouldnt work, probably because I am in Ireland, so I got a number for their German office (used an address at the bottom of the euro page) and rang them. I dont speak German but hit 1 twice on the automated system and got an excellent lady with perfect English. She took my booking no problem with a credit card number so I expect you could do exactly the same. If they tell you to book throough the UK, you should remind them you are in the EU (at least for now!) and you are entitled to book through their German or French office without any barriers.

Good Luck, I can assure you its worth the effort!

check all three and pick the best, not just on price but perks as well.

Eg EU/UK the Choise is availableon cruises upto 31st March on insides/studio.

18% on perks is included.

Use a cruise reward and your deposit exposure is low.

Don't just use NCL. sites,

eg the Epic in Dec/Jan/Feb there are some dates that are being sold out through TAs cheaper than NCL.

9dec is at around £330 through one UK TA

UK is £429 EU is €599(£436) US is $842(£543)
