Rare georgiacat Posted September 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2015 This is our first time trying Carnival. We will be on the Magic in April. What is the best pool for someone who actually swims? (yes, really) Are they all crowded? Is there an adult only pool?
nwo4life Posted September 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2015 2 pools, very small and crowded. No adult pool. Get there very early or very late if you want to actually swim.
Sweet Dutch Girl Posted September 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2015 I think "swimming" pools on a cruise ship are a bit of a misnomer. They should probably be called "bathing" or "sunning" pools because they aren't big enough to do more than swim a couple of strokes before bumping into the edge. Hopefully your itinerary has a bunch of "beach ports" where you can actually swim in the ocean. Now that's a "trip".:)
Crusin Hogs Posted September 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2015 not big enough to really swim in

ABQrobin Posted September 6, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 6, 2015 yeah, your best bet to "swim" in a pool is on a port stop.
brepri_h Posted September 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Agreed, none are big enough to truly swim. The aft pool has been much quieter on the cruises I've been on though. If you stay on the ship on port days you may have the pool all to yourself. =)
