desertmoon Posted September 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2015 Headed to Ocho Rios and the required search for coffee. I remember the caution about fakes and last time we found a legitimate shopping area where we loaded up on the good stuff. I definitely know it wasn't the flea market next to the pier! Does anyone remember where the real Blue Mountain is sold? Thanks.
jiimmy2k Posted September 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2015 A great spot to get the real 100 % Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is Jamaica Irie Gift in Coconut Grove which is about mins from the pier ... https://www.facebook.com/Irie-Jamaica-Gift-Shop-913039015374496/timeline/
TeamNOJO Posted September 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2015 We docked at Falmouth 2 years ago and there was store in the port area that sold Jamaican Blue Coffee. They gave away samples. capncarp Posted October 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2015 we bought ours in the little supermarket in the strip mall across from the Craft Market in Ocho Rios. It is near the KFC (shudder)--imagine a KFC in the land of Jerk chicken!!! The coffee was very reasonable (IIRC about $10 USD/lb) there in 2005; others on our cruise bought theirs from street corner vendors and paid about $30 USD/lb. southtraveler Posted November 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2015 Would like to get the most authentic Blue Mountain coffee when we visit there. Is it a specific brand name that is sold that is the most authentic? Have seen Coffee Roasters of Jamaica, Island Blue, and Marley Coffee noted online.
