Miami hotel with place to walk.

We are a quiet, older couple, arriving in Miami at 3pm the day before cruise in October. Would like to be able to have nice (moderately priced) dinner and a place to walk near our hotel the night before cruise. (Park, beach, etc) Also, a CVS or Walgreens and breakfast place nearby for morning.

Take a look at the Marriott on Brickell or the Conrad Hilton also on Brickell.

 

The Marriott is called the JW Marriott Miami at 1109 Brickell Avenue

 

The Conrad Hilton is located at 1395 Brickell Avenue

 

There is a CVS right nearby and it is open 24 hours a day.

 

You are one block away from Mary Brickell Village with 30+ restaurants.

 

And if you walk one or two blocks you can walk along a sidewalk with beautiful views of Biscayne Bay.

Or South Beach, where the beach walk goes for miles starting around 1st street, paralleling Ocean Drive and beach. Several Walgreens, CVS,Starbucks. A Marriott below 5th. Bridge over 5th Street to Cruiseport.

If the original poster was staying for a few days I would have also recommended South Beach but if they are not arriving until 3:00 PM the day before I thought down town made more sense.

Thank you both for your replies. I didn't even know there was a beach walk! Now that I have looked it up, the south part of south beach seems perfect for us. I am researching hotels at the moment.
