When we were in the "Sweet" on Independence of the Seas this past March, we did manage to get an over-the-water cabana at Barefoot Beach (Labadee). We had a very helpful concierge onboard.

So excited. Was able to score room 6305 on Freedom for March 2016, it was the only week my SIL and BIL were able to cruise. I was so happy to see that Jewel in the rooms to book. This will be our 2nd cruise in this room.

 

I hope you will enjoy this room more than we did. It is next to the walk way for the promenade, and underneath a store/cafe/bar that likes to make a LOT of noise from about 2:30-4:00 am. We wouldn't take that particular room again if it was given to us..

Mixed reviews on the banging door. Folks either love it or hate it. Marc (Daghis) commented on a different thread that he wasn't made aware of any banging door noise. He did make mention of loud connecting cabin neighbors. Marc, hope I got that right. I think you commented that you stayed in the "Sweet" more than once. Maybe it varies from ship to ship. As John&LaLa said, it's a good idea to have them fix the door tension.

I think it will be fine for them. They said they've been in the "Sweet" before, so they know what to expect.
