Can you flip a coin? Predicting weather conditions in the future is certainly . . . . well impossible. You might well have seas smooth as glass, but could easily have a storm move south from Alaska and give your rainy, very cool weather with lots of waves and wind.

Hope your weather is good and you have smooth seas.

We did this cruise on the same date in 2013 on Princess. It was raining in Vancouver the day before and the day we sailed. First port was Victoria and we did Buchart Gardens in the rain. Second port was Seattle and it rained the whole day. Third port was to be Astoria, Oregon, but the seas were too rough for us to tender and it rained all day anyway. Next port was San Francisco and the weather was gorgeous but the Govt shut down that day and anyone who was planning to visit Alcatraz missed it. Santa Barbara was next port and it was also beautiful weather. We disembarked in L.A. where of course the sun was shining.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

Astoria is not a tender port

Having visited these ports at different times of year the weather is hit and miss. I had to buy an additional fleecy in SF in August!

If you want to combine a visit to LV with a cruise end of September you may be better with the Caribbean. SF is a great place to visit but personally we have always visited as part of fly drive holidays where you can also enjoy the Californian coast and take in some of their amazing national parks.

We did a similar cruise on the Century from mid September 3 years ago.

We had amazing weather from Vancouver all the way down to San Diego. It was dull in Seattle but that was all.

You really can't tell, so I'd go for it. It will be a fantastic cruise whatever the weather.

We loved it!

Yosemite is amazing!

Whatever you choose have a great land holiday and cruise. We frequently combine land trips and cruises, you get value added from your flight costs and real variety in your holiday experiences.

Best wishes for a wonderful vacation.
