Freckles83 Posted September 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2015 Just received an email from NCL with a coupon code for a free Shutterfly photo album (not incl ship/handling) ... Has anyone else received this? Is it for real or just a scam to enter my info it for something that is not going to be free? :o Just curious
TrumpyNor Posted September 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I just googled it, and came up with this thread from CruiseCritic from last spring, regarding the same offer for other cruise lines. Maybe you will find more information by reading the comments there: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2202217
kmc86 Posted September 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I got one about 2 years ago... It was legitimate... I made the book and was just charged for shipping and handling...,

phoenix1181 Posted September 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I received that same email a few weeks ago. Yesterday, a beautiful album of our April Panama Canal cruise arrived!
calmpets Posted September 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I was lucky enough to receive a Shutterfly code right around the time I took my Alaska cruise, and I got a lovely photo book, for just the cost of shipping & handling. It was a great deal!
lamchops Posted September 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) Just received an email from NCL with a coupon code for a free Shutterfly photo album (not incl ship/handling) ... Has anyone else received this? Is it for real or just a scam to enter my info it for something that is not going to be free? :o Just curious We got the offer a couple of years ago and made a book of our trip. It seems they offer us 1 "free" book annually in hopes that we get into a habit of documenting our travels and producing a "paid" one. We just do the 20 pages and use it as a "Cole's Notes" version of our photo album. Edited September 19, 2015 by lamchops
Rare mking8288 Posted September 19, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2015 For good measures, make sure you have identical backups and/or copies stored on more "permanent" online/Cloud (and, localized - standalone) storage of those photos/videos, etc. if they are important to you. It's a nice way of sharing with others & marketing for the Shutterfly's offers/services. Between Dropbox, OneDrive (MSN), iCloud & Google Drive (among few others) - we managed ours with redudancy in storing important "memories" to not risk it with a single [Delete] stroke or [Enter] - accidental or otherwise. theloo Posted September 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2015 FYI - Shutterfly issues these a few times a year, so it's not something very extraordinary. I have gotten 3 free in the last 1.5 years. For my next cruise, I plan to create an album on Shutterfly and leave the project there until there is a free book offer, then pay just shipping! meltingmoments Posted September 19, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I got this e-mail yesterday and today I created my book! I actually really enjoyed doing it and all it cost me was $7:99 post and packaging, which I thought was a good deal. Nice to hear people have had positive experiences with this and I'll let you know how mine turns out! :)
SenatorsFan Posted September 19, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I received the offer after my Sky cruise in 2013, but not my Pearl cruise in 2014 so I wondered if NCL was still offering this. Then today I received the offer again so I'm excited to have the opportunity to document my wonderful Getaway cruise. :) I was very pleased with how my first one turned out, too.
