Kerry&LuAnn Posted September 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2015 Is a taxi the best way to get from the Miami airport to the cruise terminal? How long is the drive and what is the estimated cost of a taxi? Thank you.

Rare Keith1010 Posted September 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I think the new price is $27.00 per cab before tip. Yes, easiest and most convenient way to bet from Miami Airport to Port Of Miami and then from Port of Miami back to Miami International Airport. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2015 Thanks for following me up with a correction, Keith. ;) A good one/two team effort on this one. Now, let's see if someone says I'm wrong about $27.00. Keith

Especially if you have connections to make. If you are flying on the night before, we have found that on our past two cruises out of miami is is very cheap to rent a car for one night if you book it within a few weeks of the trip. On our last trip it was only $25 including taxes/fees and the airport car rental place had a free shuttle to the port in the morning. That way we had a car to use for a night and a free ride in the morning. Keep in mind that not every hotel offers free parking, but many do. :) Sent from my iPad using Forums
WhenIsOurNextCruise Posted September 20, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2015 Can I add my question regarding taxi - can you get 4 adults plus an 8 year old plus luggage into a taxi?
shanley Posted September 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2015 Can I add my question regarding taxi - can you get 4 adults plus an 8 year old plus luggage into a taxi? Probably not in a car. We went to the taxi stand and asked for a van. We were 4 adults 2 children plus luggage. We waited about 10 minutes for the van taxi to arrive. I believe it was $10 more than a car taxi would have been. It was definitely a money saver than if we had split up. We arrived day of the cruise after a 2.5 hour delay. It was stressful but we still had plenty of time. It was comforting to know how close the port is to the airport. I personally wouldn't do it again. A taxi van would be your best chance. Worst case depending on how much luggage you might need two taxis. Keith
