Hair blowdryer on Emerald

How are the hair blowdryers on Emerald?

I'm hoping NOT to pack mine from home.

I could only hope that Princess has replaced the wimpy hair dryers on the Emerald, but I suspect that's wishful thinking. I've been wishing it for 10 years now!!

 

I bring my own because the airflow from the usual ones in Princess cabins is weak. I have short hair but it is thick, and the wimpiness of their dryers makes it hard to style my hair and to get it fully dry.

 

If you have long and/or thick hair, you would be better off bringing one that you know works for you.

The hair dryers on Emerald are quite convenient for me. I can have my curling iron plugged in while I blow my hair dry. :)

I've never brought a hairdryer on a cruise. While small, the one provided is adequate. The biggest factor for me when washing my hair on a cruise is the soft water. That changes the way I style my hair far more than the hair dryer.

I'm OK with the dryers. If you only wash and blow dry 1-2 times per week, you can 'rough' it.Besides, you're on holidays :)
