Barcelona Adossat 00A

We are embarking on the Rotterdam on October 10, and the ship has been assigned berth 00A on Moll Adossat. This is the dock west of Palacruceros (Adossat D) which already has two ships using it on that day.

Can anybody provide any insight/experience about how embarkation will be operated from this location?

The Terminal Port-Nou at the end of Aldosat is used by the Balearia Ferry company for some departures to Ibiza weekly and sometimes used for cruise and cargo. It is a multi-purpose facility and will not have the services of Terminals A to D. Terminal E for Carnival Corp will start construction here soon.

There are two large buildings at the entrance that can serve for check in and baggage handling. They can set up folding chair waiting areas if needed and the check in desks will be set up for just your ship by the local agent.

The port busses will be extended and a taxi rank in some form will be available, but you will not have duty free shops, kiosks and you will have a little more of a walk outdoors to your ship. This is a bit nostalgic and is similar to Civitavecchia at the port of Rome, where they still use an industrial port for cruise traffic.
